Not too big of an update today. After participating in the all hands call this morning as well as a few other calls for other contracts, today was essentially spent in the car. Max and I made 3 separate trips back and forth from the North to South side of the island to finish shuttling all of the new sensors from the shipping destination to the new observatory. We also stopped by the hardware store to pick up all of the bits and bobs required to finish up the new observatory here on Maui. Somehow our trip to Lowe’s took over a hour. Island time? I guess in our guided, but psuedo-aimless, wandering it took some time. At least we got everything we were after!
With everything now on-site at the new observatory, we are primed to make a lot of strides tomorrow in getting everything set up and moving forward. While no visible progress today at the new site, still a very productive/successful day in getting everything from point A to point B.
As we were driving back on our last trip, sunset was only a few minutes away so we pulled off to the side of the road to enjoy it. Pretty spectacular view!
Talk with everyone tomorrow!
